CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 93-170
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A CHANGE ORDER TO
THE DRYDEN & LARUE ENGINEERING CONTRACf FOR A
SURVEY OF PHASE II OF THE TRANSMISSION LINE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the city of Seward contracted with Dryden & LaRue to design the
new transmission line; and
WHEREAS, on October 11, 1993, the City Council approved Change Order No.
3 to this contract to provide preliminary engineering support for Phase II of the project;
and
WHEREAS, Dryden & LaRue has solicited prices from several surveyors to provide
a survey of the proposed route for Phase II of the project; ~nd
WHEREAS, it is vital that the city proceed with this survey work in order to give
the contractor the necessary base data which will allow Dryden & LaRue to proceed with
the design during the coming winter season;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Change Order No.4 to the Dryden & LaRue contract for surveying of
the Phase II transmission line route, and associated costs, in an amount not to exceed
$53,550 is hereby APPROVED.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
29th day of November, 1993.
