RESOLUTION NO. 93-171
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING THE ACQUISITION OF
LOTS 3-7, BLOCK 10, FEDERAL ADDITION, FROM THE
ALASKA HOUSING FINANCE CORPORATION
WHEREAS, the city of Seward and the state of Alaska mutually agreed to the R-21
Seward Urban Renewal Plan to acquire, replat and dispose of property for reconstruction
after the 1964 earthquake; and
WHEREAS, all maps and plans indicated that Lots 3-7, Block 10, Federal Addition,
were to be deeded to the city; and
WHEREAS, through an administrative oversight, this transfer was never
completed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to sign the Certificate of Acceptance
for the city to acquire Lots 3-7, Block 10, Federal Addition, from the Alaska Housing
Finance Corporation as was originally intended under the R-21 Seward Urban Renewal
Plan.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect thirty (30) days after its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
13th day of December, 1993.
