CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 93-175
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING AN INCREASE TO THE
CONTRACT WITH MARATHON FUEL TO PROVIDE PETROLEUM PRODUCTS
WHEREAS, Marathon Fuel has provided petroleum products to the City for the
past three years; and
WHEREAS, in January 1992 the City started purchasing unleaded gasoline instead
of unleaded and regular gasoline; and
WHEREAS, the city uses approximately 30,000 gallons of gasoline annually; and
WHEREAS, during the 1993 bid process, the regular gasoline line item, totalling
15,000 gallons, was deleted, and the unleaded gasoline line item was inadvertently left
at 15,000 gallons instead of being increased to 30,000 gallons; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide an increase totalling $30,445.88 in order to
make up for the shortfall;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. An increase to the contract with Marathon Fuel Service totalling
$30,445.88 is hereby approved.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
13th day of December, 1993.
