CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 93-176
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE SEWARD POLAR BEAR
JUMPOFF FESTIVAL, INC. TO UTILIZE CITY PROPERTY
DURING THE SEWARD POLAR BEAR JUMPOFF FESTIVAL
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 92-12 provides that solicitation of funds or sales on city
property is prohibited unless specifically authorized by resolution of the City Council;
and
WHEREAS, the Seward Polar Bear Jumpoff Festival, Inc. would like to utilize city
property during January 14-16, 1994, to allow non-profit organizations to conduct special
events during the Ninth Annual Polar Bear Jumpoff Festival;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The Seward Polar Bear Jumpoff Festival, Inc. is hereby authorized to
utilize city property to allow non-profit organizations to conduct special events for the
period January 14-16, 1994.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
13th day of December, 1993.
