CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 93-177
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A CONTRACT WITH F & W
CONSTRUCTION FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE SPRING CREEK
CORRECTIONAL CENTER EXERCISE YARD ADDITION
WHEREAS, the city properly advertised for bids to construct the SCCC exercise
yard; and
WHEREAS, two bids were received from F & W Construction and Swenson
Construction; and
WHEREAS, it was determined that the lowest and most responsive bid was
received from F & W Construction; and
WHEREAS, funds are available for this project from the prison construction
budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The city manager is hereby authorized to sign a contract with F & W
Construction to construct the SCCC exercise yard addition in an amount not to exceed
One Hundred Fifty Two Thousand Nine Hundred Twenty Three Dollars ($152,923.00).
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
13th day of December, 1993.
