CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 93-180
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATION TO
BID ON HOSTING THE 1995 ALASKA RECREATION AND PARKS
ASSOCIATION STATE CONFERENCE IN SEWARD
WHEREAS, the Alaska Recreation and Parks Association holds its annual
conference each September; and
WHEREAS, the Seward Parks and Recreation Department has received positive
feedback from the ARPA Board of Directors in response to its interest in hosting the 1995
ARPA Conference; and
WHEREAS, the expense of hosting the conference will be recovered with the
exception of personnel costs; and
WHEREAS, the benefits to the city of Seward outweigh the hard work required
to host this educational, recreational weekend;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. the administration if authorized to proceed with the application process
and to bid for the opportunity to host the 1995 ARPA State Conference in Seward.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
13th day of December, 1993.
