CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 94-004
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO.5
TO THE DRYDEN & LARUE CONTRACT FOR DESIGN OF PHASE II
OF THE TRANSMISSION LINE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the city of Seward contracted with Dryden & LaRue to design the
new transmission line; and
WHEREAS, in approving the original contract, the city found that negotiating and
awarding the design and engineering contract in phases would be cost effective and in
the public interest; and
WHEREAS, on October 11, 1993, the City Council approved Change Order No.
3 to this contract to provide preliminary engineering support for Phase II of the project;
and
WHEREAS, on November 29, 1993, the City Council approved Change Order No.
4 to this contract to provide for Phase II surveying for the project; and
WHEREAS, Dryden & LaRue has now submitted a proposal to cover the
remaining design for the transmission line project, Phase II, from Mile 18.5 to Mile 24.5;
and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the project budget to cover the cost of this
change order;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Change Order No.5 to the Dryden & LaRue contract for design of
Phase II of the Transmission Line project between Mile 18.5 and Mile 24.5 at a cost of
$119,250.00 is hereby APPROVED.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
10th day of January, 1994.
