CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 94-005
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A CONTRACT WITH
MARATHON FUEL SERVICE FOR THE PURCHASE OF
PETROLEUM PRODUCTS
WHEREAS, the city of Seward properly advertised a request for bids to supply
petroleum products for Calendar Year 1994 with an option to renew for one additional
year; and
WHEREAS, only one bid was received in response to the request for bids; and
WHEREAS, the bid received was responsive to the request for bids;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a purchase
agreement in an amount not to exceed $190,699.95 with Marathon Fuel Service to provide
petroleum products to the city for Calendar Year 1994.
Section 2. The City Manager shall have the option to extend this agreement for
one additional year upon approval of the City Council.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
10th day of January, 1994.
