CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 94-013
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING THE HEAD START
USE AGREEMENT FOR THE 1993-94 PROGRAM YEAR
WHEREAS, the Seward Community Library has provided a facility to house the
local Head Start Program; and
WHEREAS, an eligible RurAL CAP community must provide local support up to
at least 25% of the local program budget; and
WHEREAS, each year the city is requested to execute a facilities use agreement
which sets forth the local contribution; and
WHEREAS, the Head Start Program provides a pre-school education opportunity
for children who otherwise could not participate in a like program because of the family's
economic situation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the public interest to continue to
participate in this pre-school program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a Facilities Use
Agreement with the Rural Alaska Community Action Program, Inc., a copy of which is
attached and incorporated herein by reference.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
10th day of January, 1994.

USE AGREEMENT
HEAD START CENTER: SEWARD
The Rural Alaska Community Action Program, Inc. is hereby granted permission to

program located in Seward at 6th & Adams . The

building size is 2 , 375 square feet and has a local rental value of
$ 1 ,05 per SQUARE FOOT PER MONTIJ.
This Agreement covers the period from September 1, 1993 through August 31, 1994.
Rural Alaska Community Action Program, Inc. will insure the building as follows:
1. Building Liability for Head Start use
2. School Accident Insurance for Children
3. Worker's Compensation for employees
4. Travel! Accident insurance for employees to and from meetings
Any additional insurance required for the building is the responsibility of the owner.
We the undersigned agree to the above Use Agreement for the space noted above.
