CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 94-025
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO AMEND THE LAND FIELD SERVICES CONTRACT TO INCLUDE
PHASE II, SEWARD TRANSMISSION LINE PROJECT
WHEREAS, on September 19, 1990, the city awarded a contract to Land Field
Services, Inc., to perform various services necessary to obtain permits and easement
access for the Seward Transmission Line upgrade, Phase I; and
WHEREAS, Phase I of the project has been completed; and
WHEREAS, the contractor has estimated that it will cost an additional $23,780 to
obtain the permits and easement access necessary for the completion of Phase II of the
project; and
WHEREAS, this cost does not include the cost of acquisition of privately owned
easements and additional work required when the final route is determined; and
WHEREAS, funds for this project are available in the Seward Transmission Line
state grant;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The city manager is hereby authorized to execute a change order to the
Land Field Services contract to perform Phase II permit and easement acquisition services
for an amount not to exceed $23,780.
Section 2. A copy of the contract change order is attached and incorporated
herein by reference.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
28th day of February, 1994.
