CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 89-076
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
ON-CALL PROFESSIONAL LAND SURVEY SERVICES
WHEREAS, the city of Seward will be designing and awarding
construction contracts for approximately $1.7 Million; and
WHEREAS, much of the work includes land survey services during
design and construction; and
WHEREAS, Alaska Land Surveys is the only professional land
survey company within one hundred miles of Seward; and
WHEREAS, Alaska Land Surveys has submitted a rate schedule
which is typical of the profession; and
WHEREAS, Section 6.0S.010(E) exempts professional service
contracts from standard bid procedures;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to award a
contract to Alaska Land Surveys to perform on-call land survey
services for the city of Seward to a total contract amount not to
exceed Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00).
Section 2. Rates for the survey work to be performed under
the contract authorized above shall be in accordance with rates
set forth in a June 26, 1989, letter from Raymond M. Burgess,
Alaska Land Surveys, a copy of which is attached and incorporated
herein by reference.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 10th day of July, 1989.
