RESOLUTION NO. 89-082
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE eITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A CONTRACT
FOR REPLACEMENT EQUIPMENT FOR LIFT STATION NO. 3
AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS
WHEREAS, on November 7, 1988,
No. 88-120, appropriating funds
Station No.3; and
the Council approved Resolution
for the repair of Sewer Lift
WHEREAS, funds for the repair were not expended in FY 1989,
and funding for the repair lapsed on June 30, 1989; and
WHEREAS, the city solicited and received price quotes for
replacement equipment; and
WHEREAS, analysis of the quotations received revealed that
Controlled Power, Inc., submitted the most responsive quote;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE eITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The sum of Forty-One Thousand, Eight Hundred and
Seven and 98/100ths Dollars ($41,807.98) is hereby appropriated
from the General Fund-Fund Balance to the Water Sewer Fund Budget
for the purpose of repairing, replacing and installing equipment
in Sewer Lift Station No.3, and the budgets are amended accord-
ingly.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter
into a contract in an amount not to exceed Fifteen Thousand Dollars
($15,000) with Controlled Power, Inc., to supply a lift station
controller/starter for repair of Sewer Lift Station No.3.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 10th day of July, 1989.
