CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 89-098
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
PAVING IN THE SMALL BOAT HARBOR
WHEREAS, on August 7, 1989, the city advertised a request for
bids to pave two 30 day parking lots, the approach lane to the boat
launch ramp, Fourth Avenue to Airport Road and construct a gravel
surfaced parking lot in the Small Boat Harbor: and
WHEREAS, two bids were received: and
WHEREAS, Summit Paving submitted the low bid: and
WHEREAS, funding for this project was included in a Transfer
of Responsibilities Agreement approved by Alaska Department of
Transporation and Public Facilities:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The city Manager is hereby authorized to award a
contract for paving of certain parking lots and streets and
construction of a gravel surface parking lot in the Small Boat
Harbor to Summit Paving for a contract amount not to exceed Three
Hundred Forty One Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty Eight Dollars and
Forty One Cents ($341,958.41) with a contingency amount of Twenty
Thousand Dollars ($20,000) for a total project amount of Three
Hundred Sixty One Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty Eight Dollars and
Forty One Cents ($36l,958.4l).
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, this 28th day of August, 1989.
