CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 89-099
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
EXTENSION OF WATER SERVICE TO THE NORTH DOCK IN THE
SEWARD MARINE INDUSTRIAL CENTER
WHEREAS, on August 7, 1989, the city advertised a request for
bids to install an extension of the water system to the North Dock
in the Seward Marine Industrial Center; and
WHEREAS, three bids were received; and
WHEREAS, American Builders Co. submitted the low bid; and
WHEREAS, funding for this project was included in a Transfer
of Responsibilities Agreement approved by Alaska Department of
Transportation and Public Facilities;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to award a
contract for installation of an extension of the water system to
the North Dock in the Seward Marine Industrial Center to American
Builders Co. for a contract amount not to exceed Thirty Four
Thousand Two Hundred Ten Dollars ($34,210) with a contingency
amount of Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500) for a total
project amount of Thirty six Thousand Seven Hundred Ten Dollars
($36,710) .
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, this 28th day of August, 1989.
