CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 89-104
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ACCEPTING A GRANT INCREASE
FROM THE STATE FOR THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT
WHEREAS, in accordance with AS 46.03.030, the city has been
offered an increase in state grant funds to be applied toward
completion of construction of the wastewater treatment plant; and
WHEREAS, state regulations require that the city Council
formally accept the grant by resolution; and
WHEREAS, when added to the the previous state grant amount of
$833,777, this grant will represent fifty percent of the estimated
nonfederally funded eligible costs of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
section 1. The city of Seward hereby accepts increased state
grant funds totalling One Thousand, Eight Hundred Dollars ($1,800)
to be applied to completion of construction of the city's waste-
water treatment plant.
Section 2. The city Manager is hereby authorized to execute
all documents necessary to finalize acceptance and receipt of the
grant funds.
Section 3. The city Manager is further authorized and
directed to deposit said grant funds, upon receipt to Water and
Sewer Account No. 701-000-348-22-00, and the budgets are amended
accordingly.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 11th day of September, 1989.
