CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 89-105
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN
THE OIL SPILL COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Seward city Council wishes to provide law
enforcement, social services support and proper harbor equipment
for use in the community; and
WHEREAS, the city of Seward is an applicant for a grant in the
amount of Five Hundred Thirty-Eight Thousand, Four Hundred Dollars
($538,400) under the oil Spill community Assistance authorized by
state law;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to negotiate
and execute any and all documents required for granting and
managing oil Spill community Assistance grant funds on behalf of
the city.
Section 2. The City Manager is further authorized to execute
any subsequent amendments to the grant agreement to provide for
changes to the project within the scope of services or tasks, based
upon the needs of the project.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the city council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 11th day of September, 1989.
