RESOLUTION NO. 89-125
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING THE CITY CLERK'S
CONTRACT BY AUTHORIZING A SIX MONTH LEAVE OF ABSENCE
WHEREAS, Linda S. Murphy was appointed city clerk of the city
of Seward in February, 1982: and
WHEREAS, on June 23, 1986, the City Council adopted Resolution
No. 86-067, approving an employment agreement between the city and
Murphy; and
WHEREAS, the city Council wishes to amend the agreement in
order to authorize a six-month leave of absence for Murphy:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The Employment Agreement between the city and City
Clerk Linda S. Murphy, approved by city of Seward Resolution No.
86-067, is hereby amended to authorize a six-month leave of absence
for Murphy beginning Monday, October 30, 1989. During this leave
of absence, Murphy shall receive annual leave payments until such
leave is exhausted and from that time forward until the end of the
granted leave of absence, Murphy shall be on leave without pay
status. However, Murphy shall receive compensation for any work
performed on behalf of the city during her leave of absence. In
addition, Murphy'S health and life insurance benefit shall continue
in force throughout her leave of absence.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the city Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 11th day of October, 1989.
