CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 89-140
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
WITHOUT FULL UTILIZATION OF CITY BID PROCEDURES
WHEREAS, the Fire Department is in need of certain supplies
and equipment for increased efficiency and safety; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department has solicited price quotes and/or
proposals from all regular suppliers of this specialized equipment
and supplies;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
section 1. For the reasons stated above, it is found to be
in the public interest to waive formal bid procedures for the
purchase of supplies and equipment for the fire department.
section 2. The City Manager is authorized to issue purchase
orders for the purchase of supplies and equipment as follows:

Becker .............................. 1 , 2 57
United Fire Service ................. 1,330
Shaman Equipment .................... 204
Safety and Supply................... 1,245.50
The total amount of all purchases is Twenty Five Thousand, Eight
Hundred Forty Three Dollars and Fifty Cents ($25,843.50).
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 27th day of November, 1989.
