CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 89-147
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ADOPTING THE FISCAL YEAR 1991
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS PRIORITY LIST FOR
THE 1990 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
WHEREAS, on November 20, 1989, the City council met in a work
session to discuss capital priorities for the upcoming Legislative
Session; and
WHEREAS, it was determined that the hospital is the city's top
legislative priority in the public facilities category and the
l15KV transmission line is the city's top priority in the category
of energy and economic development; and
WHEREAS, the hospital and the l15KV transmission line were
jointly determined as number one priorities; and
WHEREAS, the Railbel t Energy Fund should appropriately be
utilized for funding of the l15KV transmission line; and
WHEREAS, the hospital remains the ci ty' s top priority for
legislative funding; and
WHEREAS, the replacement of Lowell Canyon Bridge, SMIC
electrical improvements, and other city projects remain important
issues which need to be addressed within this legislative session;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The attached list of capital improvement projects,
incorporated herein by reference is hereby declared to be the
official capital Improvement Projects Priority List for the city
of Seward for the 1990 Legislative Session.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the city council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 27th day of November, 1989.
