CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 90-037
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS FROM THE
GENERAL FUND FUND BALANCE TO THE PARKS & RECREATION
DEPARTMENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF OPERATING A CHILDREN'S
ICE CREAM THEATRE PROGRAM FOR THE SUMMER OF 1990
WHEREAS, the community is in need of an artistic program for
the youth to broaden leisure and cultural activities: and
WHEREAS, the Seward Teen Club has committed to raising
$5,600.00 to assist in funding the Ice Cream Theatre program: and
WHEREAS, the Presentation College of Aberdeen, South Dakota,
has agreed to furnish $3,000 of in-kind contributions: and
WHEREAS, the Seward Teen Club is actively seeking grants from
the Alaska Arts Council, Exxon, and the City of Seward: and
WHEREAS, the entire community will benefit from this theatre
program offered for training some of our youth, providing a
cul tural opportunity for others, and otherwise contributing to
leisure activities:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Funds in the amount of Five Thousand, six Hundred
Dollars, ($5,600), as raised by the Teen Club, are hereby accepted
and appropriated to the FY-90 Parks & Recreation department budget.
Section 2. In-kind contributions of Three Thousand Dollars,
($3,000) from the Presentation College of Aberdeen, South Dakota,
are hereby accepted and appropriated to the FY-90 Parks & Recrea-
tion Department budget.
Section 3. The sum of Five Thousand Dollars,
hereby appropriated from the General Fund Fund Balance
101-0000-3050 to the FY-90 Parks and Recreation
operating budget for the purpose of establishing and
