CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 90-040
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH UTILITY SYSTEMS AND
APPLICATIONS, INC.
WHEREAS, Utility Systems and Applications, Inc., provides
electrical meter audit services; and
WHEREAS, this service falls under the provisions for profes-
sional services which are exempt from city bid procedures; and
WHEREAS, the city has contracted with US&A in the past and has
been quite pleased with its performance; and
WHEREAS, the calibration of all substation meters and the
annual audits of large industrial meter installations and meter
installations which have unsolved complaints are due;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. It is in the public interest to award a contract
for professional services to Utility Systems and Applications,
Inc., in the amount of $13,000, for the city's annual meter audit.
Section 2. A project account in the amount of $14,300,
including a change order contingency of $1,300, is hereby es-
tablished.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 14th day of May, 1990.
