CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 96-155
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AWARDING EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS TO NEGOTIATE TO
SELECTED WATERFRONT LEASE SITE PROPOSERS
WHEREAS, the City issued a formal request for proposals for lease and development of
several identified waterfront properties; and
WHEREAS, in response to the RFP, the City received six separate proposals for individual
sites; and
WHEREAS, it is the City's desire to negotiate lease agreements with selected proposers
prior to bringing agreements to the City Council for public hearing and action;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. An Exclusive Right To Negotiate a lease of waterfront property is hereby
awarded to each of the following proposers:
Donna Marek, dba Nibbles & Chips -- Old Kayak Rental Site
Orca Enterprises -- Harbor Tidelands Site No, 1
Kenai Fjords Tours -- The Landing Expansion
Fjords Trading Post -- Northeast Launch Ramp Area
Section 2. Negotiated leases will be brought back to the City Council for public hearing and
action in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 7,05 of the Seward City Code,
Section. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption,
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 9th day
of December, 1996,
