CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 90-155
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH KPMG PEAT MARWICK TO PERFORM A FIXED
ASSET REVIEW AND FINANCIAL NEED ANALYSIS FOR THE CITY
WHEREAS, at the request of the Mayor, the administration has
solicited a proposal from KPMG Peat Marwick to conduct a fixed
asset review and financial needs analysis for the city; and
WHEREAS, Peat Marwick has proposed to conduct such a review
and analysis for all city of Seward funds for an amount not to
exceed $42,280; and
WHEREAS, this study will address the condition of the city's
physical plant, infrastructure and other fixed assets and the cost
of present and anticipated needs of the city to maintain these
assets and to meet future capital plan requirements; and
WHEREAS, the findings from this study and review will be
beneficial to the Council and the administration in assessing the
need for adjustments to the city's property and sales tax rates
during the upcoming budget process; and
WHEREAS, contracts for professional services are exempt from
city bid procedures;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a
professional services agreement with KPMG Peat Marwick to provide
a fixed asset review and financial need analysis for the city of
Seward for a contract amount not to exceed $42,280.00.
Section 2. The City Manager is further authorized to make the
following fund transfers:

RESOLUTION NO. 90-155
Following transfer of the funds as set forth above, the City
Manager is authorized to expense each of the accounts in the
amounts listed to cover the cost of the agreement approved in
Section 1, above.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 10th day of December, 1990.
