CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 91-010
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH ALASKA NORTHWEST DEVELOPMENT, INC.,
FOR MARKETING/INFORMATION RESEARCH SERVICES
WHEREAS, Vern Chase, former marketing director for the city of
Valdez, is available to provide select marketing assistance to the
city of Seward: and
WHEREAS, the city desires to enter into a professional
services agreement with Mr. Chase to provide assistance in the
development and printing of the new Port of Seward marketing
brochure, to identify specific marketing opportunities and relay
that data to the Port Marketing Director, to develop viable
development proposals for submission to potential customers, and to
maintain continuous contact with designated customers and serve as
the local sales representative on an as needed basis: and
WHEREAS, professional services agreements are exempt from the
city's formal bid procedures:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The city Manager is hereby authorized to execute
a professional services agreement with Alaska Northwest Development
services, Inc., to provide marketing and information research
services to the city in an amount not to exceed $6,000.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 14th day of January, 1991.
