CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 91-012
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, REVISING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT BUDGET
TO PROVIDE A FULL TIME ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER POSITION
WHEREAS, the city's Animal Control Program has experienced a
dramatic work load increase over the past several months: and
WHEREAS, the public demand for services has made it impossible
for the one 30-hour employee within the program to maintain the
level of services expected by the citizens of Seward: and
WHEREAS, expanding the existing position to a full time, forty
hour per week position will greatly enhance the program:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
section 1. The City Manager is authorized to increase the
General Fund Revenues for Fiscal Year 1991 as follows:

section 2. The City Manager is further authorized to increase
the Animal Control Expense Account No. 101-1212-XXXX in the amount
of $7,748.00.
Section 3. The Animal Control Officer position is hereby
expanded to a full time, forty hour per week position.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 28th day of January, 1991.
