CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 91-015
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING THE PURCHASE
OF EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
SUPPORT TRUCK FOR SMIC
WHEREAS, Resolution No.
purchase of certain equipment
located at SMIC: and
90-139 appropriated funds for the
to supply the Fire support Vehicle
WHEREAS, the city publicly advertised for bids to supply the
equipment on December 6, 1990: and
WHEREAS, eight bids were received prior to the closing date
and time and were reviewed by the Fire Chief and Deputy Fire Chief:
and
WHEREAS, the equipment selected was determined to be in the
best interest of the city: and
WHEREAS, the total amount needed for the equipment as set
forth in "Attachment A" exceeds the appropriated amount by $605.98:
and
WHEREAS, this amount will be absorbed into the Fire Department
annual budget without significant effect:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to issue
purchase orders for certain equipment and supplies for the Fire
Support Vehicle located at SMIC and listed on "Attachment A",
incorporated herein by reference, in an amount not to exceed Thirty
Thousand, six Hundred Five Dollars and Ninety Eight Cents ($30,605-
.98)
section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 11th day of February, 1991.
