CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 91-024
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, INCREASING THE METCO, INC.,
CONTRACT FOR SNOW REMOVAL
WHEREAS, on October 29, 1990, the City Council approved
Resolution No. 90-136 awarding an on-call contract to METCO, Inc.,
for winter maintenance of Nash Road and the Seward Marine Industri-
al Center in an amount not to exceed $15,000: and
WHEREAS, due to unusual icing conditions experienced on Nash
Road, the cost of plowing and sanding has exceeded prior years'
experience and the estimate for this season: and
WHEREAS, the city does not have sufficient staff or equipment
to maintain both Nash Road and the downtown streets:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Change Order No 1 to the contract for winter
street maintenance of Nash Road and the Seward Marine Industrial
Center is hereby approved, increasing the contract amount from NTE
$15,000 to NTE $20,000.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 11th day of March, 1991.
