CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 91-029
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A DOCK USE
AGREEMENT WITH SEWARD FISHERIES, INC.
WHEREAS, in the past the City of Seward has granted preferen-
tial use to Seward Fisheries, Inc. for a portion of the boat lift
dock, the T dock and the wharf area at the north end of the Small
Boat Harbor; and
WHEREAS, the license agreement between the City and Seward
Fisheries, Inc. expired July, 1989, pending resolution of improve-
ments necessary to the cathodic protection for the docks: and
WHEREAS, the improvements are in the process of being
completed by the City; and
WHEREAS, Seward Fisheries, Inc. will be responsible for the
maintenance of the refurbished cathodic protection system;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The city Manager is hereby authorized to execute
a license agreement between the City of Seward and Seward Fisher-
ies, Inc. for preferential use of the inside seventeen (17) feet of
the Boat Lift Dock, T Dock and the wharf between these two docks.
section 2. The City will charge moorage fees for vessels tied
to the above named docks and will moor vessels at the docks when
they are not being used by fishing vessels for product off-loading.
section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 25th day of March, 1991.
