RESOLUTION NO. 97-014
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, EXTENDING THE CONTRACT WITH MARATHON FUEL FOR
PETROLEUM PRODUCTS THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 1997
WHEREAS, in January 1996, the City Council approved Resolution No, 96-002 approving
a contract with Marathon Fuel Services, Inc" to provide petroleum products to the City for a one
year period with an option to renew for two additional years; and
WHEREAS, the City has received satisfactory service from Marathon Fuel during the first
year of this contract and wishes to renew it for the period January 1, 1997 through December 31,
1997;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a change order to the Marathon
Fuel contract to provide petroleum products extending the contract term through December 31, 1997,
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council ofthe city of Seward, Alaska, this 13th
day ofJanuary, 1997,
