CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 97-016
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, SETTING FEES AND CHARGES FOR PAID PARKING OPERA-
TIONS IN THE HARBOR AREA LOTS
WHEREAS, Seward City Code S 11.15,130 provides for setting rates for parking on city-
owned lots by resolution of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, given previous action of the City Council awarding an Exclusive Right to
Negotiate for paid parking and parking management to Randy McFarland, it is reasonable to address
the issue of parking fees so that contract negotiations with Mr, McFarland can continue; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to require that those using city owned, constructed
and maintained public parking facilities pay for at least a portion of the costs associated with the
facilities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The parking fee schedule attached and incorporated herein by reference is hereby
adopted,
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 13th
day of January, 1997,
