CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 97-021
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INCREASE
PURCHASE ORDER NO. 21152 TO A TOTAL AMOUNT OF $37,581.86 TO
COVER THE ACTUAL COSTS INCURRED BY GTE TO RELOCATE ITS
FACILITIES AT THE NEW HOSPITAL SITE
WHEREAS, on October 4, 1996, the City Council approved Resolution No, 96-127,
authorizing the City to issue a purchase order to GTE in the amount of $32,348,85 to cover the
estimated cost of removing and relocating its facilities in order to clear the site for the construction
of the new medical center; and
WHEREAS, in the agenda statement presented to the City Council at the October 4 meeting,
Engineering and Utilities Manager Calvert stated that the actual cost of this work would be
determined and billed to the City after completion; and
WHEREAS, this work has now been completed, and the City has received an invoice from
GTE in the amount of$37,581.86, the actual cost of its work at the site;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Purchase Order No. 21152, issued to GTE for removal and relocation of its
facilities at the hospital site, is hereby increased in the amount of$5,233,Ol for a total purchase order
amount of$37,581.86.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption,
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 10th
day of February, 1997,
