CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 97-026
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING PAYMENT TO PROVIDENCE ALASKA
MEDICAL CENTER FOR EXPENSES RELATED TO THE GEOTECH-
NICAL STUDIES AND PHASE I ENVIRONMENTAL SITE ASSESSMENT
AS PROVIDED IN ITS CITY LEASE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, under the lease agreement between the City of Seward and Providence Alaska
Medical Center, the City is responsible for the costs associated with the geotechnical studies and
Phase I of the environmental site assessment for the Providence Seward Medical Center to be
constructed at the site of the former Seward General Hospital; and
WHEREAS, the City has received an invoice from Providence seeking reimbursement for
expenses related to these studies;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to issue payment in the amount of
$19,175 to Providence Alaska Medical Center for expenses related to the geotechnical studies and
the Phase I environmental site assessment.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 24th
day of February, 1997,
