CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO, 97-044
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, APPROVING THE INSTALLATION OF ADDITIONAL TROL-
LEY SIGNS AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce has selected a new route for the trolley which will
require additional signing; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to provide and install the signs as requested provided
that the Chamber receive authorization from the State of Alaska to install certain signs on Third
Avenue, a state highway;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. It is in the public interest to purchase signs and related materials and provide for
the installation of these signs to delineate the newly adopted trolley route for the upcoming summer
season, and the City Manager is authorized and instructed to provide for their purchase and
installation as requested by the Chamber of Commerce,
Section 2. The sum of $1,591.62 is hereby appropriated from the General Fund Fund
Balance Account No, 101-0000-3050 to Signs and Markings Division, Operating Supplies Account
No, 101-1313-5440,
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption,
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 24th
day of March, 1997.
