RESOLUTION NO. 97-060
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, PROVIDING FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF CANDIDATES FOR
THE CITY CLERK POSITION
WHEREAS, City Clerk Linda Murphy has tendered her resignation to the City of Seward
effective May 30, 1997; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to recruit the best possible candidate to fill
this important appointive position;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1, The City Personnel Clerk is hereby instructed to place recruitment notices for the
City Clerk position in each newspaper of general circulation in the Kenai Peninsula Borough,
Municipality of Anchorage and in the Alaska Municipal League's Newsletter.
Section 2. The position shall be advertised at a salary of$45,000 to $50,000 depending on
qualifications (DOQ), and the closing date for applications for the position shall be June 20, 1997.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption,
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 27th
day of May, 1997.
