CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 97-061
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, RECLASSIFYING THE DEPUTY CITY MANAGER POSITION
WHEREAS, the departure of the Deputy City Manager in February presented an opportunity
to restructure the city manager department and lower personnel costs; and
WHEREAS, this restructuring includes the reclassification of the Deputy City Manager
position from a Range 26.5 to a Range 23, with allowances for advancement of the position to a
Range 26, and a change in the designation of the position to "Assistant to the City Manager;"
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The Deputy City Manager position is hereby designated "Assistant to the City
Manager" and the pay range for the position is reclassified from a Range 26,5 to a Range 23,
provided that the position may advance to a Range 26 as experience and training are obtained,
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 12th day
of May, 1997,
