RESOLUTION 2000-033
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, INCREASING THE AFOGNAK ON-CALL SNOW PLOWING
AND SANDING SERVICES FROM $28,000 TO $54,820
WHEREAS, As a result ofthe heavy, wet snowfall that the City experienced in January and
February, the City spent $47,380 for snow plowing and sanding services; and
WHEREAS, As a result of the "Winter Storm", of this amount $11,820 is due to the "Winter
Storm" and could be reimbursed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency ("FEMA"); and
WHEREAS, Since past experience has shown that March can be a heavy snow month, the
City Administration recommends increasing the Afognak contract from $28,000 to $54,820;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Council approves the increase of the Afognak On-Call Snow Plowing
and Sanding Services contract from $28,000 to $54,820.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 28th
day of March, 2000.
