CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 97-076
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, APPROVING PAYMENT FOR THE REPAIR OF THE T-DOCK
DAMAGED BY THE FN YUKON QUEEN TO BE REIMBURSED TO THE
CITY BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY
WHEREAS, on December 26, 1996, the T-Dock was damaged by the FN Yukon Queen;
and
WHEREAS, a claim was submitted by the City to Lamorte Bums and Co., insurer for the
Yukon Queen, and notice was given to Northern Adjusters on behalf of the City; and
WHEREAS, Lamorte Bums and Co, will only pay the cost of the damage from the actual
invoices; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to facilitate repairs and eliminate exposure for future damage
to support pilings on the T-Dock;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Payment in the amount of $16,960,70 for the repairs to the T-Dock is hereby
aapproved.
Section 2. Funding is available from the Harbor Maintenance Repair and Replacement Fund
Repairs Account No, 402-4020-5380-04111, and will be reimbursed to that account by either
Lamorte & Company or the City's insurer.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption,
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council ofthe city of Seward, Alaska, this 27 day
of May, 1997,
