CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 97-100
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, ACCEPTING COMMUNITY SCHOOLS GRANT FUNDS FROM
THE KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City has been awarded a $7,000 grant from the Kenai Peninsula Borough
for the Community Schools Program; and
WHEREAS, under the terms of the grant, the City must provide equal matching funds; and
WHEREAS, local matching funds are provided through the collection of participant fees;
and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to partner with the Kenai Peninsula Borough to
provide this program of adult and youth activities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Grant funds totaling $7,000 are hereby accepted from the Kenai Peninsula
Borough,
Section 2. The sum of $7,000 is hereby appropriated from the Community Schools
Revenues Account No, 1Ol-4470-XXXX, $7,000 is appropriated from the Parks and Recreation
Grants Account No. 101-4470-0130, and the total sum of $14,000 is appropriated to Community
Schools Expenditures Account No. 10l-1422-XXXX as follows:

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
