RESOLUTION NO. 97-125
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF SALE OF LOT 3
BLOCK 2 GOAT HAVEN ESTATES TO KEVIN AND ERIN KNOTEK AND
JOSEPH AND ANDREA DIDOMENCO
WHEREAS, the adopted Seward Municipal Lands Management Plan recommended that
vacant, developable parcels excess to the city's present and anticipated public needs be sold; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 96-112 a) authorized the city manager to dispose of specified
parcels of surplus property by sealed bid, b ) detennined that the public interest would be served by
not having the properties appraised prior to the sale and c) established minimum bid amounts; and
WHEREAS, Ordinances No. 97 -09 and No. 97-10 declared certain tax foreclosed properties
included in Resolution No. 96-112 as surplus and authorized the disposal of property; and
WHEREAS, appropriate public hearings were held in accordance with the city code; and
WHEREAS, an Invitation to Bid was published in the Seward Phoenix Log, Anchorage Daily
News and the Peninsula Clarion each week for four consecutive weeks July 3rd through July 24th;
and
WHEREAS, the city received multiple acceptable bids, each accompanied by a deposit of not
less than 20% of the bid amount, for each of the properties included in the sale; and
WHEREAS, Kevin and Erin Knotek and Joseph and Andrea Didominico is the the apparent
high bidder on Parcel #8 - Lot 3 Block 2, Goat Haven Estates, for a sum of$3,400,OO.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to execute the attached Quitclaim Deed,
incorporated herewith by reference, for the sale of Lot 3 Block 2, Goat Haven Estates, to Kevin and
Erin Knotek and Joseph and Andrea Didominicofor the sum of$3,400,OO,
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect thirty (30) days after passage and posting as
required by law,

QUIT CLAIM DEED
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, an Alaskan municipal corporation, P~O. Box 167,
Seward, Alaska 99664, by its authorized officer, for and in consideration of the sum ofTEN and
NOIlOO ($10.00) DOLLARS AND OTHER VALUABLE CONSIDERATION, and pursuant to City
Council Resolution No. 96-112 adopted August 26, 1996 and 97-125 adopted August 25, 1997,
does hereby quitclaim and convey unto ANDREA and JOSEPH DIDOMENICO, a married couple,
tenants by the entirety, with right of survivorship, receiving mail at 43 County Road 75,
Mechanicville, NY 12118, the following described real property:
Lot Three (3), Block Two (2), Goat Haven Estates, according to Plat No. 77-12 in the
Seward Recording District, Third Judicial District, State of Alaska.
Subject to easements and reservations of record.
