CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 97-141
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, ACCEPTING A MATCHING GRANT FROM THE KENAI
PENINSULA BOROUGH FOR ALASKANS FOR LITTER PREVENTION
AND RECYCLING AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS
WHEREAS, Seward Parks and Recreation Department has been awarded an additional grant
match from the Kenai Peninsula Borough for the Alaskans for Litter Prevention and Recycling
(ALPAR) project; and
WHEREAS, the additional grant funds totaling $2,000 funded one youth litter patrol and
reimbursed personnel expenses from the project; and
WHEREAS, Council action is required to accept and appropriate the additional funds and
to amend the litter patrol budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The additional grant funds totaling $2,000 from the Kenai Peninsula Borough are
hereby ACCEPTED and appropriated to the ALPAR Special Project Revenue Account No, 21S-
21S0-4680-0900.
Section 2. Funds totaling $2,000 are hereby appropriated to the ALPAR Expenditures,
Budget Account No, 21S-21S0-XXX and the project budget is amended as follows:

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption,
