CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO, 97-163
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, RENEWING A SNOW PLOWING & SANDING SERVICES
CONTRACT WITH METCO, INC. FOR LOWELL POINT ROAD AND
NASH ROAD FOR THE 1997-98 WINTER SEASON AT A CONTRACT
PRICE OF $8,000 AND $20,000 RESPECTIVELY
WHEREAS, the 1995-96 snow plowing and sanding services contract awarded to METCO,
Inc" was for a one year period with an option to renew the contract for three additional one year
periods; and
WHEREAS, the contractor has agreed to renew the contract under the same terms and
conditions as the 1995-96 contract year; and
WHEREAS, the contractor provided excellent snow plowing and sanding services to the
City during the last contract year;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to extend the contract with METCO, Inc.,
to provide snow plowing and sanding services for Nash Road and Lowell Point Road through the
1997-98 winter season for a total contract price not to exceed $28,000 (Nash Road - NTE $20,000,
and Lowell Point Road - NTE $8,000).
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 13th
day of October, 1997.
