CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 90-096
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A CONTRACT FOR
PHASE II, STREET IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, a request for bids to construct Phase II, Street
Improvements, was properly advertised; and
WHEREAS, two bids were received by the city; and
WHEREAS, both bids appeared to be from responsive and
responsible bidders; and
WHEREAS, Summit Paving submitted the low bid; and
WHEREAS, funding for this project was included in the Street
and Sidewalk Improvement Projects Budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager ~s hereby authorized to execute
a contract with Summit Paving ln an amount not to exceed
$186,082.20 for the construction of Phase II, Street Improvements.
Section 2. The City Manager is further authorized to
establish a project account totalling $201,082.20, to include a
change order contingency of $15,000.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 22nd day of August, 1990.
