CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 91-077
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ESTABLISHING A CAPITAL PROJECT
FUND TO PROVIDE HANDICAP ACCESS TO THE SEWARD
COMMUNITY LIBRARY
WHEREAS, the Federal Library Services Construction Account has
agreed to fund through the State Library certain repairs and
improvements to allow handicap access to the lower level of the
Seward community Library; and
WHEREAS, $13,335 was included in the Fiscal Year 1991 Library
Operating Budget for this project; and
WHEREAS, a contract has been awarded to Andrew J. Patapoff,
Architect, in the amount of $800 to design the project; and
WHEREAS, construction is scheduled to be accomplished in July
or August of 1991;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
section 1. The sum of $13,335 is hereby appropriated from the
Library Operating Budget Account No. 101-1500-5920 to the Library
Handicap Access Capital Project Fund No. 218 for the purpose of
design and construction of certain improvements to the Library.
Section 2. Expenditure of these funds is subject to reim-
bursement of one-third of the project cost by the Alaska State
Library.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 24th day of June, 1991.
