CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 91-083
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO THE
CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE
OF PORTABLE RESTROOM FACILITIES
WHEREAS, the Seward Chamber of Commerce has requested city
financial support in order to help defray the cost of sanitation
pumping for two portable toilet units at the Chamber I s visitor
center; and
WHEREAS, the demand for restroom facilities at the visitor
center has been overwhelming; and
WHEREAS, two portable toilet units were donated to the Chamber
of Commerce for use at this site; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of pumping these two units for the
remainder of the tourist season is $1,120; and
WHEREAS, the requested $1,000 contribution from the city to
the Chamber will be offset by revising the camping Fees revenue
goal by $1,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
section 1. The Parks and Recreation Department Revenue Fund
No. 101-0000-4470-0120 is hereby increased by $1,000, and a like
amount is appropriated to the General Services contribution Account
No. 101-1189-5610.
section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to contrib-
ute $1,000 to the Chamber of Commerce to help defray the cost of
maintaining the portable toilet facilities at the Chamber's Visitor
Center.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the city council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 8th day of July, 1991.
