CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 91-100
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE
OF CERTAIN EQUIPMENT FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the city of Seward properly advertised two requests
for proposals to provide certain equipment for the Fire Department;
and
WHEREAS, the administration recommends purchase of the
equipment from the low bidders; and
WHEREAS, funds are budgeted for the purchase of the equipment
in the FY 1992 budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to issue a
purchase order to W. S. Darley in an amount not to exceed $14,395
for the purchase of an air compressor and accessories.
Section 2. The City Manager is also authorized to issue a
purchase order to Amkus West in an amount not to exceed $11,000 for
the purchase of certain rescue equipment to include a spreader,
chain package, cutter, power unit and ram.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 26th day of August, 1991.
