CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 91-106
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ESTABLISHING A CAPITAL PROJECT
FUND FOR CONSTRUCTING A SPRINKLER SYSTEM FOR THE
SEWARD CORRECTIONAL FACILITY
WHEREAS, at its regular meeting of May 28, 1991, the Seward
City Council accepted funds in the amount of $24,500 from the
Alaska Department of Public Safety to construct a sprinkler system
for the Seward Correctional Facility; and
WHEREAS, it was anticipated that this project would be
completed prior to June 30, 1991, and the funds were assigned to
the Fiscal Year 1991 Jail budget; and
WHEREAS, the project was not completed prior to the end of
Fiscal Year 1991; and
WHEREAS, the auditors for the city of Seward, KPMG Peat
marwick, wish to establish these funds as a capital project account
which will cover Fiscal Years 1991 and 1992;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to transfer
the sum of $24,500.00 from the General Fund Revenue Account No.
101-0000-4420-0200 to the Jail Sprinkler Capital Project Revenue
Account No. 260-2600-4680-0200.
Section 2. The expenses incurred prior to June 30, 1991,
related to the construction of the jail sprinkler system are hereby
transferred to the Jail Sprinkler Capital Project Expense Account
No. 260-2600-5920.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect retroactive to
June 30, 1991.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 9th day of September, 1991.
