CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 91-107
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING CITY FUNDS FOR
THE OPERATION OF A COMMUNITY SCHOOLS PROGRAM
FOR THE 1990-91 SCHOOL YEAR
WHEREAS, the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District has
contributed $7,000 to the city of Seward for the operation of a
community schools program in Seward for the 1991-92 school year;
and
WHEREAS, the projected revenues from user fees and special
events are estimated to be approximately $6,000; and
WHEREAS, campground collections have far exceeded budgeted
revenueSj and
WHEREAS, it
portion of the
program; and
is in the public interest to appropriate a small
campground revenues to the community schools
WHEREAS, the community will benefit from varied programs in
recreation, physical activities, leisure activities and additional
educational offerings which will be provided through a community
schools program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The sum of $6,000 is hereby APPROPRIATED FROM the
Parks and Recreation Fees Account No. 101-0000-4470-0100, and the
sum of $2,000 is APPROPRIATED FROM the Campground Fees Account No.
101-0000-4410-0120, and the total sum of $8,000 is APPROPRIATED TO
the Parks and Recreation Department Budget Account No. 101-1400-
XXXX.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 9th day of September, 1991.
