CITY OF SEWARD / ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 91-108
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD / ALASKA, AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR REPAIR
OF 1989 FLOOD DAMAGE TO LOWELL POINT ROAD
WHEREAS, the city of Seward properly advertised a request for
bids to repair the 1989 flood damage to Lowell Point Road; and
WHEREAS, only two bids were received, and METCO, Inc., was the
apparent low bidder; and
WHEREAS, the bid submitted by METCO, Inc., was found to be
responsive and the bidder was found to be reliable; and
WHEREAS, the road repair work will be completed within 30 days
of the Notice to Proceed; and
WHEREAS, funds for the project are available within Special
Project Account No. 210-2100/ which was established from funds
received from the State Department of Emergency Services to effect
repairs necessitated by the 1989 flood;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
a contract with METCO, Inc., for an amount not to exceed $14/310.00
to complete the 1989 flood restoration and repair work on Lowell
Point Road.
Section 2. The
