RESOLUTION NO. 96-119
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING AMENDMENT NO.2
EXTENDING THE ELECTRICAL METER READING CONTRACT
WITH DERRALD HILDERBRAND THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 1997
WHEREAS, on September 26, 1994, the City Council approved a contract with Derrald
Hilderbrand to provide electrical meter reading services for the City; and
WHEREAS, the original contract was for a one-year period expiring on September 30, 1995,
with an option for three one-year extensions upon satisfactory performance and approval by both parties;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Hilderbrand's service has been excellent and he has agreed to a second one-
year extension;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Amendment No.2 extending the Hilderbrand contract for meter reading services for
a one-year period, a copy of which is attached and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 23rd day
of September, 1996.

AMENDMENT NO.2
AMENDMENT NO.2, to the AGREEMENT between the City of Seward and Derrald J.
Hilderbrand, dated September 26, 1994, follows:
WHEREAS, the CITY OF SEWARD with offices at Seward, Alaska, hereinafter called
"Seward," and DERRALD J. HILDERBRAND who resides at Seward, Alaska, hereinafter called
"Hilderbrand," entered into an AGREEMENT for the reading of electrical meters within the City
of Seward, Alaska Electrical Service Area on September 26, 1994; and
WHEREAS, the continuation of the existing AGREEMENT is desirous to both Seward and
Hilderbrand;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual exchange of the promises of the
parties, the parties agree to amend the AGREEMENT as follows:
The AGREEMENT is extended one year through September 30, 1997 as the second of
three extension options as provided in Section 13 of the AGREEMENT.
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, all other terms and conditions of the AGREEMENT
dated September 26, 1994, remain in force and effect.
