CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 91-112
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO THE
WATER/SEWER FUND TO MEET CURRENT EXPENDITURES
RELEVANT TO THE FAILURE OF THE LOWELL POINT
SEWAGE TREATMENT LAGOON
WHEREAS, the city has experienced a failure at the Sewage
Treatment Lagoon located at Lowell Pointj and
WHEREAS, this failure has resulted in the expenditure of
unbudgeted city funds for testing, repair and providing water to
residents of the area who may have been affected by seepage from
the lagoonj
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The sum of $50,000.00 is hereby appropriated from
the General Fund Fund Balance Account No. 101-3070-0225 to the
Lowell Point Sewer Repair Fund Account No. 225-3070 for the purpose
of meeting expenditures relative to the failure of the Lowell Point
Sewage Treatment Lagoon.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 9th day of September, 1991.
